International Business Academy
The Business Academy field of study includes two specializations: legal and economic.
63-41M/02 Business Academy (legal specialization)
School Educational Program (SEP): International Business Academy (legal specialization)
Based on the School Educational Program (SEP) for the International Business Academy, we educate students in the traditional field of business academy, but with a focus on the international element and global environment. In its legal orientation, the teaching of mathematics is limited to the necessary minimum required by the framework educational program for business academies, which is sufficient for general knowledge. On the other hand, the curriculum emphasizes the teaching of logic and general study skills, which are essential for entrance exams to law faculties or for studying at such institutions. Additionally, this program develops the area of social sciences, which is more typically associated with grammar schools. Unlike general grammar schools, there is no requirement to teach natural sciences; instead, students focus on practical competencies, particularly those of an economic nature.
The curriculum at our economics school includes the participation of professors and associate professors from law and economics faculties, who collaborate with us to enhance the quality of education. All of this is also designed to ensure proficiency in two foreign languages.
The curriculum and the school educational program can be downloaded here (available in the Czech language only).
63-41M/02 Business Academy (economic specialization)
The teaching of social sciences is limited, and the teaching of natural sciences is minimized to the basic level required by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT). Emphasis is placed primarily on economic disciplines.
The curriculum and the school educational programme can be downloaded here (available in the Czech language only).
Admission conditions for full-time education for the 1st round
For all parts of the entrance examination, applicants can achieve a maximum of 166 points. For the unified (state) part of the entrance examination, a maximum of 100 points can be achieved, while the school-specific part of the entrance examination allows for a maximum of 66 points.
Applicants participating in the first round of the entrance examination will be ranked based on their results. Admission will be offered to those applicants whose ranking falls between 1st place and the position corresponding to the last place within the capacity allocated for the first round of the admissions process for the specific field of study.
The ranking of applicants will be determined based on the total score from the unified entrance examination and the school-specific entrance examination. In the case of a tie in the total score, the final ranking will be determined progressively as follows:
- The average grade as per criterion (1).
- Then by criterion (2).
- Finally, criterion (3) is outlined in the “criteria for recognition of the school-specific entrance examination.”
If the tie persists, the following factors will be considered in order:
4. The score from the Czech language section of the unified entrance examination.
5. The score from the Mathematics section of the unified entrance examination.
6. The average grade in the Czech language from the last two issued school reports.
7. The average grade in Mathematics from the last two issued school reports.
Entrance examination
The entrance examination is composed of the evaluation of the following parts:
1) result of the state entrance examination (a maximum of 100 points),
2) result of the school entrance examination (max. 66 points).
The joint (state) entrance examination consists of two didactic tests a) Czech language and literature (a sample here) and b) Mathematics (a sample here). Applicants receive a maximum of 50 points for the individual didactic tests. The highest possible number of points for the state examination is therefore 100 points if the applicant responds correctly to all the questions in both tests. The school entrance examination consists of the General Educational Prerequisites (a sample here). Depending on the test result, applicants can obtain up to 66 points. The information on the preparatory course for the school entrance examination can be found here.
Recognition of the school entrance examination
An applicant may be exempt from attending the entrance examination, receiving a maximum of 66 points without the need to pass the test of general studies requirements, if at least one of the following criteria is met. If there is a request for the recognition of the school part of the entrance examination according to the following points 4 to 8, enclosing a statutory declaration with attachments is a necessary condition (to download from here). The statutory declaration is an integral part of the application.
